What is "Endo" all about?

Hiya!

So, for the foundation of this blog, I figured I'd explain what the "endo" part of Endo Lady Grows means. In many places it means premium weed, so it kind of has a dual meaning, because it also refers to endometriosis. The premium weed part is self explanatory - I try to grow good medicine - and endometriosis, well, that's a bitch.

In short non-medical terms, endometriosis is a genetic condition that causes internal bleeding, scar tissue, and often glues your organs together which makes life suck. It's been called cancer's evil cousin, there is no cure and since it's genetic you can't avoid having it if you were born with it, and the most you can do is try to manage it with some lifestyle and health changes, surgeries to cut out the bleeding lesions and adhesions, and live on some sort of pain management.

This condition is primarily a women's condition, but men also have been diagnosed with it - genetic issues and all that, it sucks. It greatly effects the reproductive system but isn't managed by it or helped by anything revolving reproductive management.

As I've come to say, it's a self sufficient independent bitch that doesn't need anyone or anything, doesn't care what you do or want, will go wherever it wants, and it's only goal is to root as deeply as possible. It creates it's own blood supply, food (hormones), and once it's mature, can only be cut out by the roots which grow deep. It's a bloody weed, and it sucks. Internal bleeding sucks. It hurts, it effects everything, it's a progressive condition and if you ignore it, the lesions will just spread and party it up while it takes you down.

So, all that to say, this is the condition I live with and what "endo" primarily refers to for me. I mainly grow high CBD strains because I don't like the feeling of being high, and use it for medicine and pain management. Most endo patients are prescribed hard pain pills and I'm not interested in taking opioids and narcotics that'll add more side effects and issues, I've got enough to deal with.

The primary focus of this blog will be to share my experiences with using various cannabis strains for pain management, how it effects the pain in the short and long term, and what strains seem to work best for me. I'm happy to answer questions, connect with others using medical marijuana, and hear what's helped you especially if you have endo as well. Let's chill and chat!
